The following is a short post on the top 10 ranked holdings at the end of 2023. I also provide the year of acquisition - the year in which most of the shares were acquired. I may have trimmed some shares or accumulated more shares along the way.

It is my policy to not disclose below the top 10 positions. However, this is a highly concentrated portfolio as the top 10 positions represents 85% of our holdings at the end of 2023.
Our largest (and favorite) sector is the E-Commerce sector, followed by infrastructure and Consumer tech. Our oldest holding is Google purchased at the day of IPO. We initiated 2 new positions, Adyen and Richelieu hardware. We wrote extensively on those 2 names - 4 articles were written for each.
The best performer was Mercado Libre which rebounded from a death spiral in 2022. We purchased Mercado Libre during the lows of 2022.
Amazon also felt drastically in 2022 and rebounded nicely in 2023. We have have only marginally bought shares during these times - really not significant.
Logistec was the third best performer, with a 61% performance gain in 2023, as it is being taken out at 67$ - (January 2024).
The worst performer was HIFS. The bank is suffering from the rapid raise on interest rate.
The second worst performer was Adyen, where the price collapsed in the fall 2023. We increased significantly our position in the stock in the lows - it was a very small position in 2022, but still the stocks started the year at 1288 euros and finish the year at 1166 euros.
The third worst performer was Thermador which was slightly negative.
Our average holding time of the top 10 positions is 7.1 years. Long term holding of quality stocks purchased at attractive price is in my opinion the best approach to over-perform the market and delay capital gains.
very much enjoy this substack, as i can no longer put effort into reading another post on (only) american mega-caps.
i think you should write about any of the names where there is something interesting.
it is unlikely you will be moving the bid given :
- typical EV in your portfolio
- # of readers
- # of readers that may take action
Cool I spend a lot of time analyzing the mega cap but its not reflected here. I might post a few things on Amazon and so on since there is at least one reader interested !! These Will be short not deep dive type typically on one aspect
